Description:
This series of small mobiles transforms humble construction remnants into intimate protective icons. Delicately balanced wire armatures support mesh, foil and stone fragments, creating sculptures that feel almost weightless despite their rough origins. Each totem carries a memory or blessing—preserving the love of family and the resilience of tradition in a fragile, floating form.
Concept:
I layer and interweave raw, found materials to explore how objects can absorb and transmit emotional charge. By suspending heavy fragments in seemingly impossible equilibrium, I invite viewers to reconsider notions of strength and fragility—and to discover the unexpected poetry hidden in everyday debris.
Artistic Intent:
These totems enact a ritual of protection and remembrance: rough materials become vessels for care, and fragile forms assert a quiet power. Through contrasts of weight and lightness, hardness and delicacy, I aim to reveal how even the simplest objects can hold deep personal histories and foster moments of intimate reflection.
